| Responsibilities: | Key Responsibilities Tool Design and Fabrication: ¡ñ Create and modify mold designs based on specifications and production requirements. ¡ñ Fabricate molds and tools using precision machining techniques, such as milling, grinding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Maintenance and Repair: ¡ñ Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of molds and tools to ensure optimal performance. ¡ñ Troubleshoot and repair faulty molds or tools to minimize downtime in production. Quality Control: ¡ñ Ensure all molds and tools meet quality standards and specifications before use. ¡ñ Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement corrective actions for any defects or issues. Collaboration and Communication: ¡ñ Work closely with production teams to understand tool requirements and improve processes. ¡ñ Provide technical support and training to production staff on tool handling and usage. Requirements ¡ñ Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling, or a related field. ¡ñ Minimum 3 years of experience in tool making or mold fabrication, preferably in the plastic injection molding industry. ¡ñ Proficiency in using machining tools and equipment (e.g., milling machines). ¡ñ Strong understanding of mold design principles and materials. ¡ñ Knowledge of CAD software for designing molds. ¡ñ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. ¡ñ Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality. ¡ñ Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ¡ñ Strong communication skills. Authority ¡ñ The Tool Maker has the authority to make decisions regarding tool design and fabrication processes. Working Condition:- ¡ñ Work is conducted in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and potential hazards associated with machining processes. ¡ñ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, including safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection. ¡ñ Standard working hours are typically from 8:00 AM/PM to 5:00 PM/AM, from Mondays to Fridays; ¡ñ 8:00 AM/PM to 1:00 PM/AM on Saturdays with the possibility of overtime as needed to meet production demands. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :- ¡ñ Quality ¡Ý 95% of moulds completed without rework ¡ñ Productivity Meet assigned production and work order targets ¡ñ On-Time Delivery ¡Ý 95% of jobs completed by scheduled deadline ¡ñ Dimensional Accuracy ¡Ý 98% compliance with specifications and drawings ¡ñ Mould Maintenance 100% completion of scheduled preventive maintenance ¡ñ Material Control Minimize scrap and material waste (¡Ü 3%) ¡ñ Safety Compliance 100% adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements ¡ñ Housekeeping (5S) Maintain clean and organized work area ¡ñ Attendance & Reliability Maintain good attendance and punctuality |
